The last of the good state laws

GRIN # 230

In Massachusetts, you can’t wear a goatee without a license.

In Alaska, you can shoot a bear, but it’s illegal to wake one up to take its picture (and probably not very smart either).

In California, animals are banned from publicly mating within 1,500 feet of a tavern, school or place of worship.

In Kentucky, it is illegal to remarry the same man four times.

In Alabama, putting salt on a railroad track is punishable by death.

In Texas, a recently passed anti-crime law requires criminals to give their victims 24 hours notice, orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed. (WHAT?)

And, finally, Kansas prohibits shooting rabbits from a motorboat.

Is there even any water in friggin’ Kansas??

And if there is, are there likely to be any rabbits in it?
