(I didn’t make these up, but I love them).
- Real mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sand box.
- Real mothers don’t want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
- Real mothers know that dried Playdough doesn’t come out of the carpet.
- Real mothers sometimes ask “Why me?” and get their answer when a little voice says, “because I love you best.”
As Moms we do our best to be everything to everyone–to give our kids a childhood like we had or, in some cases, one that’s completely different. Moms are willing spirits. We don’t always get it right, but, dang, we show up every single day.
